Data conversion activities are often among the greatest challenges of an implementation project. Irregularities in legacy data must be rectified, or the results can have catastrophic impacts on business functionality and distort data exponentially with use. Therefore, one of the project deliverables is a detailed conversion plan, which establishes the objectives and criteria for the conversion effort and identifies specific data and database sources to be converted based on these criteria.
